About the event:

Our upcoming 90 minute webinar, "Building a collaborative research culture, maximising impact and promoting openness through a data-informed strategy" is hosted in collaboration between EARMA and Digital Science. It will bring together a panel of experts to explore how data captured across various stages of the research lifecycle can not only unlock new insights, but also significantly enhance research impact and cultivate a culture of integrity, openness, and collaboration.

Discussion topics include:

● Innovative examples of how data-driven approaches can serve as a foundation for strategic research planning, enabling institutions to capitalise on their strengths, target promising interdisciplinary areas, and shape future research agendas.

● Novel real-world approaches to using Dimensions data for thematic analysis to develop strategies that focus on exploring research topics, interconnectedness, evolution, and potential. We will learn how this data is used to foster future research collaborations, and guide long-term planning based on these thematic insights

● New ways to advance research quality and cultivate a culture of integrity

● The pivotal role open research plays in bridging the gap between identifying collaborative opportunities and enhancing the visibility and attractiveness of research.

Inspired by COARA's "Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment," which champions practices and activities that boost the quality and impact of research, additional panel members will join the webinar to  discuss and demonstrate how research managers, funders, and evaluators can use data to:

● Identify practices that advance research quality, integrity, and openness

● Monitor and showcase progress in open research practices across various levels

● Recognize and reward diverse contributions to research, highlighting open and collaborative efforts.
