EARMA Policy and Representation Committee Impact Strategy Survey Results

EARMA Policy and Representation Committee Impact Strategy Survey Results

In Late 2019 and early 2020, the EARMA Policy and Representation Committee ran an international survey exploring the influence of the research impact agenda across the sector. The aim of the survey was to identify and share best practice in how institutions are responding strategically to the research impact agenda, and the ways in which this relates to national and European policy contexts. A summary of the results of this survey has now been published and can be found at the following here.

The article explores how the concept of research impact is defined, and the influence of national and international policy drivers that address impact within processes related to competitive funding applications, block grant allocations and quality assessment. We explore how institutions reflect these drivers in their own strategies and support structures, and how leadership of the impact agenda is configured in different national contexts.

If you’d like to hear more – the authors of this report, Bettina Uhrig and Andrew Jackson, will be speaking at a forthcoming EARMA Digital Policy Session in May 202.
